I decided to write this article saying to myself that for those of you who want to lose weight, it would be useful to obtain information not only from books / specialty magazines or theoretical articles on the topic - "built" starting from medical and nutritional theories, but also from people who have succeeded to lose weight. I should be a relevant example, given that I've lost 55 lbs (25 kg) in 2 months and a half, reaching 181 lbs (82 kg).
Before continuing, I must alert you - and please take this very seriously - to try these methods and "tricks" only if you do not have any serious problem with health. My recommendation is to see a doctor before starting any diet through which you intend to lose an important amount of your body weight. It would also be good to consult a nutrition, because what perfectly worked in my case or even what brought results for some movie star out there could simply not work for all.
That being said, let's see how I succeeded to lose weight:
- With an initial low capacity of effort because of the big weight, I decided to lose the first pounds more by changing my diet rather than through exercise;
- I have eaten the fruits separately from other meals (at least an hour before and at least 3 hours after a fruits-free meal);
- I have not only restricted the number of calories, but I also have used a dissociated diet. At the beginning I've kept a maximum of 1,500 calories per day, then, when I felt like the body begins to adapt to "low calories", I've pushed to a maximum accepted of 1200. How it was with eating dissociated: I did not eat at the same meal "fast" glucids (which convert quickly in energy or fat, and are present in food without fiber - white bread, potatoes, white rice, sweets, etc.) and lipids; I also did not eat fast glucids together with rich sources of proteins (meat, cheese etc.). For example, I was eating black bread with fish and green vegetables (I started the diet in early April), or I could eat white rice with onion (boiled in the rice), but without anything else. That was for lunch; as breakfast I was eating fruits only, or green cheese with black bread and vegetables;
- I have renounced at the dinner, a fruit or some cabbage soup when I felt like I really must eat something;
- I renounced at the saturated fats, very unhealthy (meaning fat cheese, fat yogurt/milk, sour cream, fat meat - except - as I said - fish, which brings good fats);
- I started to cook with no oil; remaining sources of fat: extravirgin oil used in salads, nuts (in small quantities) and fat fish.
I will come back with the rest very soon, promise.
